Most hotels in Flamingo Crossings look similar from the road. Homewood Suites does not. It's a large structure and it reads like a resort before you even walk in. Inside, the finish level is noticeably higher than most of its neighbors — TownePlace Suites, SpringHill Suites, Home2 Suites, Fairfield Inn, and Residence Inn all share the same Flamingo Crossings corridor, but Homewood carries a more upscale feel and usually prices accordingly.

Here's what you're paying for.

The garage access is genuinely useful. Floors one through five connect directly to the parking garage from your hallway — you walk out your door and you're on the garage level. Floors six and seven require a short elevator ride down to five, but that's a minor inconvenience. When it's 95 degrees in July or pouring rain at park close, that covered walk matters. No other hotel in Flamingo Crossings gives you that.

The pool and outdoor bar are shared with Home2 Suites next door. Indoor bar on property as well. The breakfast layout is a step above the standard grab-and-go — real silverware, proper setup. The room feels more like an apartment than a hotel, with a three-quarter refrigerator and a full kitchen setup. The shower has a plexiglass door — not quite Residence Inn level, but noticeably nicer than a curtain.

The exercise room is the weak spot. TownePlace and SpringHill share a better one. Residence Inn also beats it. The laundry is located inside the fitness room, which is an odd layout. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing before you book.

So is it worth it? For the right family at the right price, yes. If you want more space, a kitchen, covered parking access, and a resort feel without paying Disney property rates, Homewood Suites delivers. If the nightly rate is significantly higher than Home2 or Fairfield and the garage access from your hall doesn't matter to your trip, run the comparison first.
