SpringHill Suites Flamingo Crossings can absolutely be the right hotel — for the right trip. I like it. But like every hotel out here, it comes down to what your family actually needs, and there are a few things the booking photos won't tell you.
The biggest one: it shares almost all its amenities with its sister property, TownePlace Suites, built right next door. The big pool, the nice exercise room, the bar and restaurant — all shared between the two hotels.
SpringHill does have its own separate breakfast area, but it can still get busy when a large group is in house. Like TownePlace, this property is set up for big groups headed to Disney — youth sports teams, high school bands, family gatherings. That's not a knock, it's just who it's built for, and you want to know that before you book.
What I really like here: the showers are upgraded, and they're a step up from the sister property. Worth knowing, though — most rooms do not have tubs, so if you've got little kids who need one for bath time, check before you commit. And unlike TownePlace, there's no real kitchenette here; the refrigerator is small, dorm-room size. Fine for drinks and leftovers, not for cooking.
The shuttle stop is shared too — not just with TownePlace, but with all six Flamingo Crossings hotels. One bus, one stop, everybody. Plan your mornings around that.
I like SpringHill Suites for the right trip, the right price, and the right crowd. Just remember — not all amenities out here are created equal.
