How Long Does It Take to Drive From Flamingo Crossings to Animal Kingdom?
Drove this route myself from TownePlace Suites at Flamingo Crossings, camera rolling, no estimates. It took 14 minutes total — 10.5 minutes to the Animal Kingdom toll plaza, then another few minutes winding through the parking lot to a space.
That's pretty fast, read the drives for the four Disney parks from Flamingo Crossings — for comparison, the drive to Epcot and the other parks.
Animal Kingdom's proximity plus decent traffic, light timing worked in my favor this run. On an earlier pass with heavier lights, the same drive took closer to 16 minutes door-to-parking-space. Give yourself a 10 to 16 minute window depending on when you leave.
Route: Out of TownePlace onto Western Way, then a right onto Buena Vista Drive, then the ramp onto Osceola Parkway toward Animal Kingdom.
One traffic tip worth knowing: Right before the turn onto Buena Vista Drive, the left lane backs up because it's feeding both Disney Springs and Magic Kingdom traffic. If you're headed to Animal Kingdom, stay in the right lane — you'll skip most of that backup, since the two left lanes open up wide once traffic starts flowing.
One Google Maps tip: Always set your destination to the Animal Kingdom toll plaza, not just "Animal Kingdom." Maps has a habit of routing you to the pedestrian walk-in entrance instead of the vehicle entrance, which makes no sense if you're driving.
Park hours: Animal Kingdom runs 8am to 6pm — it closes earlier than the other three parks since it's built around live animals.
Parking itself is simple. Once you're through the toll plaza, you drive straight back through the lot to your row — no tram required for most spots, since the walk to the entrance isn't far even from the back of the lot.
If you're staying at a different Flamingo Crossings property, the drive time is essentially the same — SpringHill Suites sits right in the same corridor.
