Residence Inn Flamingo Crossings is the quietest hotel in the area. Smaller parking lot, smaller entryway, noticeably more upscale feel. If you're traveling with younger kids or want a calmer property without youth sports groups and buses pulling through, this is the one.
It's not built for large groups and that's the point. TownePlace Suites and SpringHill Suites down the street have the space and infrastructure for big parties and team travel. Residence Inn doesn't. No bus parking. Fewer crowds in the common areas. If your family needs that energy, go elsewhere. If you want to avoid it, Residence Inn filters it out for you.
The room is one of the better setups in Flamingo Crossings — kitchenette, three-quarter refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave. The bathroom and shower are among the nicest in the area, a step above Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites, Fairfield Inn, and most of what TownePlace and SpringHill offer. Breakfast comes with real silverware and a proper layout. Staff consistently stands out.
The one thing to know before you book: Residence Inn is the last shuttle pickup on the Flamingo Crossings route. You may be standing on a full bus. The tradeoff is you don't wait through stops at other hotels — you board last and ride straight. Whether that bothers you depends on your group.
Is it worth it? For a solo trip or a smaller family that wants a quieter, more upscale Disney experience without paying on-property prices, yes. For a large group that needs pool space, bus access, and room to spread out, look at TownePlace or SpringHill first.
