It’s about 10 minutes to drive from the Disney Springs hotels to an Epcot parking spot. I timed it from Hotel Plaza Boulevard at midday: I left the Wyndham at 12:58PM, hit the toll plaza at 1:06PM, and was parked at 1:08PM. Maps said about 10 minutes, and it was right.
Here’s what the booking page can’t tell you: how the drive actually feels. Easy.
You go past Disney Springs on East Buena Vista Drive, with Saratoga Springs on your left and the Hilton Buena Vista Palace on your right. Then it’s Disney Vacation Club Way to Epcot Center Drive, and you’re there.
Two tips. Type “Epcot Toll Plaza” into your GPS, not just “Epcot.” And zoom your map in. There are two rights close together, and I almost took the wrong one.
The best part: unlike the drive to Magic Kingdom, there’s no lagoon to cross. You park and walk in.
The money: it’s $35 to park at Epcot unless you have an annual pass. That’s on top of what your Hotel Plaza hotel charges you to park overnight, so you can end up paying twice for the same car.
Don’t want to drive? The Wyndham, Holiday Inn, Renaissance and DoubleTree share one shuttle. I rode it, and it was 15 minutes of stopping hotel to hotel before we even headed out, rattling the whole way. The Drury runs its own, and you just show your room key. No app, no booking. Here’s the Drury shuttle schedule.
Honest catch: 10 minutes is a midday, slow-September number. At rope drop, at night, or on a busy party day, it takes longer. And take a picture of your row. Leaving Epcot around 5:30PM, I walked past a young dad with his wife and little kid, and he said, “I don’t remember driving this far.” Take the picture.
