Yes — the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando on Hotel Plaza Boulevard in Disney Springs is a good hotel, and one of the better values on the Disney Springs strip if you catch the right rate.

I paid $120 a night, plus $28 for self-parking, no resort fee — a total that's genuinely hard to find on this road, because the Drury is normally one of the priciest hotels on it.

But "good value" is what the price chart tells you. Here's what it can't, and it's the reason you're reading a guy who actually stayed here instead of a fee comparison:

How does it really feel?

You walk into that lobby and it's impressive. Big bar, kitchen restaurant, a market, you can see the huge pool out the big windows, even a little place for Pizza Hut inside — the whole thing looks nicer than the ads on my reservation could show.

The front desk was genuinely helpful (Grace, if you're reading this, you were great). My initial impression walking in was just: yes, nice. After 40-some Disney-area hotels, I know within ninety seconds whether a place is going to nickel-and-dime me or leave me alone, and the Drury leaves you alone. No resort fee is the honest headline — on this strip, that sentence is rare.

The free food is the real draw and it mostly lives up to it. Free hot breakfast from 6 to 10 AM, served on real dishes with real silverware — not the flimsy paper-plate spread you brace for. Waffles, eggs, sausage, pancakes, big and busy. Free popcorn and soda in the afternoon. And a free evening meal with three free alcoholic drinks per adult during the 5:30-to-7:30 PM window.

Now the honest catch, because this is where I'd rather not lose your trust: that free dinner is a light meal, not a Disney Springs dinner. Mine was some kind of linguine and snacks. It's real, it's free, and it'll take the edge off — but don't skip your dinner plans thinking Drury's got you covered for the night. It doesn't.

A few other things that aren't awesome, and you should hear them before you book. The in-room "refrigerator" is really a small cooling chiller — it'll keep a drink cold, it won't hold a real grocery run, and for a family that matters. The gym is a big, nice room with plenty of machines, but every dumbbell is light — nothing over 30 pounds, so serious lifters will be disappointed. And the walk to Disney Springs, while real, is the longest of any hotel on this strip. In January that walk is lovely. In spring, summer, and fall, Florida can make it a sweaty haul — I've walked it many times and I know the difference.

The room itself was a genuine surprise for the price. A comfortable king bed, a cool sliding barn door, a walk-in shower (no tub), and outlets everywhere — regular, USB, and USB-C at the bedside. The WiFi tested 135 down and 179 up in the room, which is excellent. The TV is new and responsive. For $148 all-in with no resort fee, the room punches well above its cost.  Another problem is is that it rarely gets that low.

So is it a good hotel? Yes — for the right trip and the right price.

If you catch the Drury at a rate near what I paid, take it: the free breakfast, the free dinner, the no-resort-fee honesty, and a room nicer than the number all add up. Just go in knowing the chiller isn't a fridge, the free dinner is light, and that walk gets hot. If those three things don't matter for your trip, this is one of the best deals on Hotel Plaza Boulevard.
