No. It's 7.5 miles away — a 21-minute drive. Nobody is walking that.
This question comes up constantly from families who see Flamingo Crossings marketed as "close to Disney" and assume Disney Springs is part of that proximity. It's not. Flamingo Crossings sits on the western edge of Walt Disney World property, right next to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. Disney Springs is on the opposite side — east side, near Hotel Plaza Boulevard. They are not the same neighborhood.
Your options from Flamingo Crossings to Disney Springs are drive yourself or take a rideshare. A Lyft or Uber runs $15 to $25 each way depending on time of day and season. If you're making that trip twice a day, that's $30 to $50 daily on top of whatever you're already spending at the parks. It adds up fast on a $3,000 family trip.
If walking to Disney Springs is important to your trip, the hotels you want are on Hotel Plaza Boulevard — the DoubleTree, the B Resort, the Wyndham. Those hotels sit close enough to walk. But they generally cost more per night and carry additional fees that Flamingo Crossings hotels don't.
What Flamingo Crossings gives you is proximity to the parks — Magic Kingdom especially. The drive from Flamingo Crossings to Magic Kingdom is three to five minutes from the hotel parking lot to the toll plaza. That's the trade you're making. Close to the parks, not close to Disney Springs.
