Can You Take a Bus From Grand Floridian to Disney Springs?

Watch the Disney Bus Rainy Ride Video

Yes. You can take the free Disney bus from the Grand Floridian to Disney Springs even if you're not staying there. It runs about every 15 to 20 minutes, and nobody scans your MagicBand or asks for a room number.

I didn't want to take a website's word for it, so I walked up to the Grand Floridian front desk and asked. The cast member said yes, right now: out those doors, to the right, past the topiary. Then I asked the bus greeter outside to be sure, and got the same answer. That's two confirmations.

Here's what the bus page can't tell you: how it actually goes.

I've done this before, back when I had a Lyft debacle at the Grand Floridian and couldn't get a driver past the front entrance. Nobody asked if I was a guest then either. This time it was pouring, and the bus stop sign doesn't even say Disney Springs on it. You just trust the greeter. It should say it.

The ride itself is the easy part: free, dry, no hassle. Then you step off at Disney Springs, walk to security, and find the line sits under a pergola. It's wood slats with no roof, so everybody stands there getting drenched while they wait to get checked. In 49 trips I've never been that wet at Disney. I laughed, because there was nothing else to do. Bring a poncho.

That night, Labor Day, the forecast said 95% rain through midnight, so I skipped Epcot fireworks and ended it with Domino's back at my hotel.

Now the honest part. Getting there is free, but getting back isn't. As of June 28, 2026, the resort buses leaving Disney Springs only take you if you're staying at that Disney resort or have a dining reservation there, and they scan for it.

Here's exactly who can ride the Disney Springs buses now.

So this is a one-way trick. Plan your ride home before you go.

If you're staying on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, you can walk back from Disney Springs in 3 to 15 minutes depending on the hotel.
